The Company
Ensham Resources is the operator of a coal mine complex located 40km north east of Emerald in the Bowen Basin, in Central Queensland. It mines high energy low ash thermal coal and total annual production is approximately 4 million tonnes per year.

The Role
Reporting to the Undermanager you will be responsible for:
· Safe and effective coal production
· Strong safety mindset
· Follow instructions and plans from your supervisor to allow safe production and other work.
· Participate in improvement initiatives
· Set up the next shift to maximise their production
· Operate in a safe manner
The Person
To be considered a suitable candidate for this position you will have the following experience and background:
· Minimum 2yrs experience with underground coal mining
· A commitment to safe work practices
· Must be a team player who can demonstrate commitment to achieving Ensham’s goal of being a leader in the safe, reliable and efficient production of quality coal for our customers
· Current and valid standard 11
· Must be able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
The Roster
The roster for these positions is a 7 on 7 off 12 hour rotating day/night shift roster.
