Sungela is a private Australian company that owns an 85% interest in, and operates, the Ensham Coal Mine located near Emerald in Central Queensland.
Sungela owns Ensham Resources, the operator of Ensham coal mine and an 85% shareholding in the Ensham business (made up of Nogoa Pastoral and Nogoa Pastoral Joint Venture collectively).

Ensham Coal Mine
The Ensham Coal Mine is a coal mine located 40 km east of Emerald in Central Queensland, Australia. The mine has of over 1.1 billion tonnes of coal resources making it one of the largest coal reserves in Asia and Australia by resource base. Ensham produces 3 million tonnes of high-quality thermal coal per annum through its underground operations for both domestic consumption and export.
